The Fort Smith Museum of History explores the origins of Fort Smith and how it grew into the prominent town it is today. You can also tour a Victorian Italianate-style home, the Clayton House, in the historic Belle Grove District, where visitors can learn more about the Native American Indian Territory before Western settlers arrived.
